What is a Master Plan?​

We have a master plan which shows our future plans for the Zoo’s development. I would like to share this document with all employed staff at the Zoo, but I do ask that you keep this in-house for now. This is purely because plans can change and if we say we will get species ‘X’ and we end up with species ‘Y’, then it can be confusing for the public and make it appear that we haven’t got our ducks in a row. When, realistically, every species requires a great deal of research, planning and we also have to look at what animals are actually available when we are ready. The Master Plan is like a ‘wish-list’.
