conservation.
One of the main reasons for creating a zoo in Northumberland was to create a northeast hub for wildlife conservation.

Zoos play an important role in wildlife conservation and they have a duty to represent animals across the globe through education and conservation action.

Our goal is to increase our support for more conservation programmes including ones which we currently are involved with, both in-situ and ex-situ (natural environment and exhibits).

By visiting the zoo and continuing to support our growth, you are contributing to our Conservation Projects. If you would like to make a donation to help us contribute to these projects and more, you can donate here.
