Meet our newest (and slowest) resident, Sally the Sloth!
We are thrilled to welcome Sally, the Linne's two-toed sloth, to her new home here at Northumberland Zoo. 7 year old Sally has officially moved into a specially designed indoor habitat, the Rainforest Lookout, which she will be sharing with the white-faced saki monkeys, Goeldi’s monkeys, pygmy marmosets, and Azara's agouti. “Sloths like Sally are endlessly fascinating,” said Lucy Edwards, Curator at Northumberland Zoo. “Despite being slow, they only sleep around 8-10 hours
