Join one of our keepers for the exciting opportunity to meet some of our small mammal species, providing them with their feeds and enrichment. This could include our Arctic fox, Asian short-clawed otters, meerkats or North American porcupine.

We regret that this experience is not currently suitable for wheelchair users.

The experience is available for adults and children over the age of 10 years old; however children between the ages of 10 and 16 years must be accompanied by a spectating parent or guardian paying normal zoo admission (1 adult per 1 child).
 
Pre-booking experiences is required.
Once you have purchased an Experience Voucher from our online shop, you will be sent an online voucher with a link/QR code. This will take you to a provisional booking form to arrange a date for your experience here at the Zoo.
 
Terms and Conditions
 
Age of Participant
 
If under 17, participant must be accompanied by an adult into the zoo and this adult must be present at the Health and Safety briefing alongside the child to complete the Liability Disclaimer.
 
Voucher Expiration
 
The voucher is valid for 12 months from the purchase date. Experiences MUST BE PRE-BOOKED.
 
PPE
 
You will be required to enter several animal enclosures, so participants must wear suitable footwear on the day, no open-toed shoes or heels/sandals. Disposable gloves will be provided as you will be required to handle raw meat or fish during the experience.
 
Cancellations
 
We reserve the right to cancel experiences at short notice due to animal welfare issues. Poor weather - if the weather is unsuitable for the experience on the day, then the Zoo will decide to reschedule. No reimbursement will be made for any travel expenses. We will try our best to give as much notice as possible.
 
Vouchers
 
Are non-transferable and non-refundable.

There are a maximum number of 2 guests on any Small Mammal experience.
We respect our animals and this experience does not involve handling or touching the animals in any way
Additional friends/family will be able to spectate during parts of this experience - they must pay admission to the Zoo
